About Jeannine

 

As a lifelong lover of "high art", Jeannine naturally made her television debut as a young child on the popular TV show ROMPER ROOM in Pittsburgh, PA. After some time between (okay - grade school, high school, college, grad school and beyond), she was lucky to continue her children's show success with an appearance on BOZO'S CIRCUS in Chicago.

 

While in Chicago, Jeannine lived a double life as Marketing Director/Interactive Producer for a consulting company by day, and actress by night. 

Now based in Los Angeles, Jeannine's an actress/producer/marketing director/arts advocate/community engagement advocate.  

Actor:
As an actor, Jeannine's performed in many plays and several films in both Los Angeles and Chicago.  Favorite film roles include the the films  Watch It, Rancho Cucamonga, Chicago 8 and the shorts "Colette" and "Sonance" with talented young filmmakers Keely Martin and Ginger Port.

 

Producer/Nonprofit Management:
She serves as Managing Director of the award-winning theatre company
The New American Theatre (formerly Circus Theatricals). She's produced over 90 plays in the Los Angeles area, three of which she helped move Off-Broadway.    You can see the list here or here

 

Some of her favorite productions include Tempest Redux (adapted , directed and choreographed by John Farmanesh-Bocca), a co-production between The Odyssey Theatre and The New American Theatre, More Lies About Jerzy (dir. David Trainer), Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar, Bedfellows, 24 One Act Festivals, As Is, Five Beauties by Tennessee Williams, I Never Sang for My Father, Sister Cities (world premiere), Titus Redux (w/ Not Man Apart at Kirk Douglas Theatre and RADAR-LA), LA/Off-Broadway productions of Man.gov, Harm’s Way, The Job; Many New American Theatre/Odyssey Theatre co-productions.  Jeannine co-produced the short film Game 7,  which was a 2013 Naperville Independent Film Festival finalist.

 

Civic Engagement:

Naturally philanthropic and civic-minded, Jeannine  currently serves as Chair of the Culver City Cultural Affairs Commission, where she works with other passionate people to help make our corner of the world a little more beautiful, filled with art.

Jeannine doesn't have a split personality but she does have a second career as a marketing/internet producer. Here's her other resume: 

Education:
Jeannine earned an M.B.A. in Marketing from Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago) and a B.S. in Communications and Advertising from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) . She earned a certificate in acting from The National Shakespeare Conservatory (NY), and a certificate in comedy improv at the Players Workshop of the Second City in Chicago.

Jeannine is married to actor/director/producer Jack Stehlin (imdb here, website here). They met in a theatre in Hollywood (naturally!) You may have seen Jack on stage in New York, regionally, or in Los Angeles.  He's best known on TV as the hilarious and totally weird Captain Till on the Showtime Series "Weeds."  They have three daughters.
